OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERABiography: When Mindpatrol was founded in the summer of 2012 as a studio project, the Luxembourgers had to take a solid nosedive with their debut record “Downfall Theatre” first. Even though the idea sounded great on paper: combine challenging Progressive Metal with compelling melodies and a solid amount of heaviness in order to solely create concept albums. A companion book, written by vocalist Luc François, was also released for those interested.

The successor “The Marble Fall”, which was released in 2015, allowed Mindpatrol to evolve into a complete band and to show that they are indeed capable of growing into their initially planned ambitions. The numerous live shows quickly erased the youthful carelessness and awoke a hunger for more.

This appetite lead to the creation of “Vulture City”, a concept album that tells the story of an orphaned pair of siblings, living in a dystopian future. Mindpatrol are painting a world, in which humanity is on the brink of extinction and has to ask itself what’s more important: free will or a safe place to live. “Vulture City” was produced by Sebastian Levermann at the Greenman Studios and the ten songs will yet again be explored further in the form a novel.

Genre: Extreme Progressive Metal
